Dang!!! Screw in the tire! Need Toyo Proxies T1R 255/35/zr19
Wheres a good inexpensive place to get them? Im in SoCal or mail order, just dont want to get taken the the cleaners. I was told that it could not be fixed, which is what I originally thought since its popping the sidewall.
I would check with another tire company and check to see if it can be pluged, I had a screw in my tire about the same area different car of course, but he explained to me the way the tire was made and explained how it was still ok to plug it vs him selling me a brand new replacement. Tires are all different as to the way they are made, and some can be saved I still have the plug in the tire and its still holding air and no thread seperation or any other problems.
No question that tire can be plugged. I drove mine for 3 years on a tire that had been plugged in the exact same place. I told the kid back then (I do it now) that I wouldn't hold him responsible if it didn't hold.
I'd go with a plug. Should hold till ya need to get new tires ( by the looks of the remaining tread it won't be too long).
Use CAMEL plugs they already come with a compound that is real sticky and will hold good I have used camel products for some time now and never had problems.
