Default looking for a tire dressing

Looking for a tire dressing that won't whip off, that doesn't give a wet look but blackens the tire, and lasts for a while! Is there any special "snake oil" dressing you've used that is like this?

Many experts have said most tire dressings shouldn't be used because of the possibility of rubber degradation.... and this is probably true if used frequently over tire life. Our tires on our cars don't last that long compared to regular tires, but if we only put on 2000 to 3000 miles per year, rubber degradation could be a problem after 4 to 5 years.

I swear by this:

Meguiar's Direct Hot Shine™ Tire Gel Kit

Sounds like this is what you are looking for. Walmart $7.54.
