I got the Continental ExtremeContact DWS's

Tire Barn said that they are on national back order..
Discount Tire said that they could get them in in 2 days.. hmm.

Obviously I went with Discount.. So far they are great! However, my last tires were almost bald I couldn't hardly drive on barely wet pavement without my back end wanting to come out.
The tires for this damn car are a little on the expensive side.. and now I need brake pads and rotors! (I'm going with Rotex Golds, don't worry) but if you gotta have em, might as well not skimp, right?

I will update a few thousand miles later how well they are, or aren't doing.
The 50,000 mile warranty was another perk..
Supposed to get some rain later, may drive in to town to see how well they do!

I don't plan on trading off the car anymore so I'm going to do as I please with it. I live way out in the boondocks on a gravel road and everybody out here has a truck.. I think it's hilarious, sad thing is some people actually think it is real (a guy at my moms work, a guy at autozone, and a guy from a subaru dealership)
I also have Browning Camo floor mats..

 

YOU NEED TO FIND YOU A HORIZONAL GUN RACK MADE WITH DEER HOOFS , OR THE 8 INCH VERTICAL EXHAUST PIPE LIKE THE COAL TRUCKS RUN ,THAT WOULD BE WAY COOL, AND THE CAMO SUN VISOR... SWEET.... YOU SHOULD HAVE WENT WITH THE MUD HOG TIRES

But I JUST bought these tires!! And then it wouldn't be able to be my daily driver..

 

I was meaning to ask about the warranty on those tires. Will they still honor the warranty on them since they cannot be rotated? Anyone ever asked? That would make the price of these over the cheaper tires virtually non-existent, since I have a feeling mine couldn't last the 50k. LOL

 

They can't be rotated front and back, for obvious reasons, but the manual says to rotate sides..
So they should honor it? I will call tomorrow and ask, I didn't do that either.

 

Thanks, be sure and let us know about that. If continental will honor that, it will be my next tire for sure, hands down. Maybe use it even if they don't, since it appears to be a better tire IMO than any of the alternatives for a driver. We should see a much improved life over the alternatives, whether the warranty is good or not.
