Default ceramic brake pads: Textar?

Mechanic is pushing Textar CeramicFusion as superior to Akebono Euro.
Haven't seen any comments here about them - any thoughts?
(looks like they might be re-branded Centrics)

Perhaps "pushing" was too strong a word to use, since I don't see it as a contest. Since I have no experience with ceramic brake pads on a Crossfire, I'd like to balance the highly-regarded mechanic's recommendations with the expertise and experience of the end users on this forum. Better?

now thats a different question!! i use the akebono pads and am quite pleased. they will fade if autocrossed but for everyday use they have zero brake dust and my only squeal is in reverse after the car sits for a couple weeks. no squeal at all going forward.
many on here use porter ebc red stuff akebono pads. combine with new rotors and you should be fine. never heard of the other pads so i cant speak if them
