Default New Wheel Possibility

So I think I've fallen in love.. With a set of MRR HR4's, that is...

Thinking about putting this on my car here in a couple of weeks.

Let me know what you think.

A mockup of the wheels on my car. Forgive the poor quality, the wheel visualizer was flash based, so I couldn't save a picture of it via the comp, had to take a picture with my iPhone.

Something about the curves and sleek, simple lines just calls out to me, as if these wheels were made for our cars...

I'm sure not everyone will be a fan, but I'm definitely in love.

I think it's the concave center and spokes flush with the lip that do it for me. I'm not a big fan of wheels with fat lips sticking out, haha.

I like them. They are different and have some style going on. They would make your car easy to spot at the up comming Tail of the Dragon meet with nearly 70 cars attending. If you like them, go for it.

Now I just have to haggle Discount Tire into giving me a good price on them. I figure I can talk them down to 800 for just the wheels considering I'm going to have to buy 2 new tires for the front wheels, as the HR4's only come in 19 and 20. My goal is to try and get the wheels and 2 tires for 1,000, so I'm going to have to pull out ever trick in the book to get that. I plan on going in tomorrow to start working on them, haha.

I wish I could... Unfortunately my regular days off are Tuesday/Wednesday and I've used up all of the time in my benefit/comp banks. If I end up being able to catch some overtime before then I might be able to get the days off, but no way of knowing until it happens.

Oddly enough I used the last bit of time in my banks to get the 18th off for the Bosma Car Show here in Indy, haha.

Yup, that's the one. I bought my registration ticket the other day online and got my time off approved so I'll be there, hopefully with the new wheels, too.

It's 10 bucks if you register by the 15th. After the 15th it goes up to 20.

They probably weigh the same as any other average wheel, but the visual illusion is that they are HEAVY, I like wheels with skinnier spokes myself. It's your moola, you don't need our approval on how to spend it. I'd take a skinny woman over a big one, but that's going way off topic.

I think its a nice compromise between the standard and srt wheels, more spoke than standard, but less thick. And not a bad price, either.

They do look good! Nice choice!

But I would go for the non-chrome look. But thats just because I'm not to big of a chrome fan to be honest.

I wish they make those TSW wheels in 19"....

I'm with ya, I'm a big fan of machined face wheels. The salt up here would kills chrome in the winter.

I thought I didn't like them when looking at just the picture of the wheel, but seeing them mocked up on the car, I think they do look really good.

Hope you can get the price you're looking for. I checked out a new set of wheels, and 8 new tires (a winter set for the stock rims, performance tires for the new wheels) - came to a total of $3,800, with a really good discount. :/
