Car creaks when breaking in reverse.
So when im back up and hitting the break alot of time i can get a creaking sound or maybe a small pop comming from what appears to be the right front tire ( i think ) The noise does not happen when i turn going foward but the same noise seems to happen when going over speed bumps as if somthing in the suspension is lose or dry. any help please
funny u brought this up. i have a clunking/creaking noise coming from my right front wheel as well. anytime i go over a bump or curb, and sometimes while just driving down the road.
its most noticed when backing out of my driveway while rolling over the curb.
As huntsmcgee said, it sounds like something is loose in the suspensin. any help is appreciated.

Like 89 I also notice it alot when backing out of my driveway turning and pressing the break. It seems like somthing is loose and is poping out of place a tad bit.
Mine aren't everyday drivers like most of you guys...but, keep in mind, the rotors will get a thin coat of rust on them this time of year, and back up, with this little bit of abrasive material on there will cause noise. Your aren't applying the pressure you would as if going forward...so, until the rotor is cleaned up by the pads...this could be some of the problem..but, it you have a clunk, or rattle after the first few times braking, then I would get under there and start looking....
Well..if you have this when you're breaking it's because something is broken. On the other hand if it happens when you're braking (which is a totally different thing) or going over bumps it's possible that it's a bad strut or maybe the mounting bolts have loosened up a little. You might check on that as well.
