Tires and wheels
Tires and wheels
Has anybody tried to change tire/wheel size on a 2004 XF. I just bought the car, and here in Indiana we get snow. I need to up the profile and reduce the width of these tires-this car is treacherous in this weather. Something along the likes of a 215/70/15 rear and possibly even front instead of the 19s and 18s now on the car. I feel that if I can keep the diameter within 10 percent of the original then I most likely won't encounter electronic issues. Then the question becomes-who makes wheels that'll do?
Anybody been down this road?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Tires and wheels
If you do a Forum Search on ''' Snow ''', it will come up with a bunch of threads with a wealth of info on tires for winter driving.
Another Search on '''Blizzaks''' will take you to snow tires that get a lot a press.
Any condition not to our liking can usually be fixed, it's just a matter of time, and money...

Re: Tires and wheels
Shameless plug but take a look at my for sale thread. I have 16" rims which is as small as you can go. At least it will give you an idea. https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ires-rims.html
