Default 19" & 20"

Hi
I would like to ask all the people that are runing 20" 19" wheel size combo for any useful advice...what I need, what size of tires, rims, spacers,etc...

Thank you

Right now I am runing 18x8.5 and 19x9.5 with back wheels 285x35xr19 and I can't remember whic are the front ones... I think 265x40xr18

Unfortunately I ran in to a pothole...well that is why I need new set

Thank you again

I'm sorry. I've been running 19's and 20's for 2 years, but this topic has been beaten to death.

Search is your friend!

In a nutshell:

If you go 235 width or more in the front, you will have to add offset to avoid the upper ball
joint nut.

If you go 275 or more in the rear, add offset or it will rub at the top of the wheelwell to the inside.

Keep the same "rolling length" or diameter as OEM. Or as close as possible.

You will have a hard time finding exact matches for offset in aftermarket wheels for our cars.

Use this tool: Custom rims, wheel tire packages for your ride - RIMSnTIRES.com
it is invaluable for seeing what will fit.

The wheel offset chart is very helpful but wouldn't I need to know the factory wheel specifications in order to compare ?

I have 225/40 18 which I like & 275/30 20 rears
which I would like a bit more profile, actually would like to cram as much rubber in there as I can.
I think the 20's would look sweet if allowed to fill the space.
I keep reading about keeping the same circumference, but cannot find why.
I've put bigger tyres on other vehicles, mostly trucks, w/ no perceived issues other than a better/comfortable ride.
What will really happen by increasing the circumference on the rear?

Other than rubbing the inner wheel well, it can mess up you speedo.

By cramming I mean putting as much in w/out rubbing
Have gps speed, not concerened w/ speedo
Found the magic word that brought up a thread from '08 that touched on perceived gearing, but conflicting reports on which end of rpm that would be affected.

If the front/rear speed ratio is changed by too much, I understand it will confuse the ESP/BAS system.

Am I right? Chime in here guys...
