Default Squealfire!!

Im haveing an issue. Whenever I turn the steering wheel to the left theres a horrible squeal. I was told it's my ball joints but since this is a place of wealth in knowledge, Im asking for a second opinion. Any takers????

Sounds like a Power Steering pump/belt issue. You will have to provide more info ie. while moving, while parked, low speed, high speed, mileage on the car?
If the squeal happens when you are not moving then you can rule out alot.

It happens when it's not in motion and at low speeds i.e. parking. Its coming from front drivers side. It was subtle at first but know its loud. It doesnt happen at high speeds.

if it happens when the car isn't in motion then it isn't the ball joints. they will creak not squeal.

You are low on power steering fluid. Doesn't take much.

It doesn't take much so make sure it is completely full with the correct fluid.

It is Pentosin CHF11S.....not you're average PS fluid. The manual may give you approved alternates though but I'm not sure.
Good luck.

its a peanut oil derivative. don't mix it. wait until the dealer opens and get it there. 1 qt will last a lifetime

and if the mechanic who told you that it was the ball joints is the mechanic who couldn't see it was low on fluid you might want to get another mechanic!

Added fluid and it still squeals. Now I see that its not good to mix the fluids. So I'm assuming the dealer can drain it and fill it with the right fluid?

you may have air in the power steering system as well since it was low...and you didn't listen to Steve and I to use the recommended oil....it may have to be bled out...look for any of the power steering lines that may be leaking, or the cap, or reservoir....good luck...

Had the steering flushed and filled with Pinsotin by the dealer two weeks ago, its quieter but still creaks.
