Default About to order ForgeStar wheels... Can someone check this and make sure it's right :)

Going to order:

18x8.5 ET+26 for the front

18x10 ET+26 for the back

Car is not lowered now, but will be next year. Brakes are stock, probably will stay that way.

iForged suggested those offsets, is that correct? I tried the wheel calculator thing but I don't know what size tires I should get.

On that note anyone know which size tires I should get

(I apologize in advance, I just don't understand wheel and tire fittings)

the front factory factory is 30 and the rear is 20 for the ET (offset) if you have any lip at all add that to the et example 18x 8.5 42 ET with a 2" lip = a rim with a 30 et with no lip. here is a pic of a 17 x 9 with 42 ET and 2" lip. hope this helps.

first make sure to know what series your going with before picking your wheel...as If I can remember the formula series is the only series you can get in an 18 inch sizes...I've bought a few different wheels from them and they are hands down one of the best quality wheel out there! If not theee best!

2nd> rear sounds good....but you may want to go up to a 30 or 32 front and up to 34> you can even step up to a 9 inch width....

The rear is fine (18x10 ET 26) but I don't know about the front offset. I have a 30 offset on the front wheels on my car. Stock is ET 35 on the front.

Same wheels as velociabstract, the ForgeStar F14, but gunmetal instead of silver.

velociabstract have you run into any issues with the 18x9 in the front? I know you have had the wheels for awhile now...

No issues with the 18x9 rims with the 30 offset. I bought 245/35/18's for the front rims and they rub a little when turned sharply on the bump in the upper front of the wheel well. I am lowered though. At stock height it should be fine. I rubbed that same place with the stock rims and tires after lowering so unless you hammer it in a little, it's most likely going to rub when you lower the car. If you order Forgestar's you need to tell them if you want the metal centering ring or plastic one. For track use and to withstand the heat metal is best, for a comfy ride the plastic is best. You need the lugs and socket from somewhere so I just got them from Forgestar. Normal sockets won't fit in the Forgestar lug hole. I put 18x10's on the back but I think 11's will fit if the offset is right. Anything you want to know, just ask and if I have the answer I'll give it to you.

here's your sizing chart...for the forgestar f14 wheels...you may even want to run a 18 or 19x11 with a 23 offset rear...give your car a little more of the staggered look....would almost be a perfect fit~! I have worked with sp engineering for 5 years now and get great pricing from them, so when your ready I will get you some pricing on a set!!

18"
18×8.5 offsets from +26 to +50
18×9.0 offsets from +20 to +55
18×9.5 offsets from +26 to +60
18×10 offsets from +16 to +42
18×11 offsets from +23 to +55
18×12 offsets from +36 to +68

19"
19x8.5 offsets from +26 to +48
19x9.0 offsets from +20 to +55
19x10 offsets from +20 to +44
19x11 offsets from +23 to +55

20"
20×8.5 offsets from +26 to +50
20×9.0 offsets from +18 to +56
20×9.5 offsets from +7 to +43
20×10 offsets from +31 to +69
20×10.5 offsets from +20 to +55
20×11 offsets from +48 to +81
20×12 offsets from +39 to +75

Before you order the 9's let me tell you why I wanted them. I wanted the widest rubber on the front possible. (245's according to my measurements, 255's were too scary) At the same time I wanted the 245's to be the smallest recommended size for the rim. This helps keep the tread flat on the track at really high side load levels. That happened to be a 9" width. If you want to keep the 225 or 235 aspect on the front I'd recommend 8.5" rims or you'll have the stretched look. It depends on what you want and what size tire you plan on. I can take a picture so you can see for yourself if you'd like.

If you wouldn't mind taking some pictures that would be awesome!

Thanks for the offer freakingfast, but I'm already getting a killer deal

Here's a photo of the front. As you can see they protrude a little. It looks fantastic but be aware that it throws more rocks and road grime on the rocker panels. As the suspension compresses the tire moves up to the inside at the top so it just clears.

This thread has a couple of pictures of my car with Forgestars.

Did I scare you away from the 18x9's? For most people 18x8.5 is better. You can get a 245 on a 8.5 rim or stay with a 225. On a 9" rim, depending on the make of the tire, anything less than 245 is going to give the stretched look.

Hmmm now I can't decide, I actually really like the way your car sits. Tires aren't an issue, as long as I figure out what I want I'm pretty sure I have Conti convinced to toss me a set.

It is only 1/2 an inch, I'm not sure why I'm stressing so much

What did you order for the rear? If you get the offset right you can fit a super wide rim back there. I have a 25 offset on the rear with my 10's and there's room on the inside.
