Lightbulb Another lsd thread (kinda)

Hello friends,

Through my automotive journeys, I have looked for aftermarket parts mostly for my p.o.s. jeep wrangler, including the powertrax no slip differential. I was going to put this on my jeep, but instead I got a sexy little crossfire and I'm wondering if anyone thinks this could work. They seem pretty cool and I think they're the only ones that make this system (they were when I discovered this) and I want to get some opinions. I tried to see if they had one for us, but I haven't heard back yet.

So my questions to you, for 450$ is this a deal? Any potential dangers or warning points? will it help fuel my insane driving habits? I've seen mixed reviews on the "no slip system" but I was hot after them for an offroad vehicle. I just thought it might be worth doing verses conventional lsd.

I appreciate all opinions and I'll try to maintain this thread best I can.

Dear Jose, Waldig is wrong! Although his Wavetec is awesome, the Wavetrac is much better. They are exactly the same price, so why not go with the better Wavetrac.

Not nice to pick on the professor......Wavetrac is the only thing out there that is a true limited slip... I have been a Jeep nut my whole life as well...we aren't even close to talkin' apples to apples here... "locker's" have been around since the '50's, maybe longer...lol...but, a locker will eat tires as there isn't any "slip" as in "limited slip". As you turn the other tire is digging in, always... Drag racers use them, but, they go straight all the time... Anyway, wavetrac is the only real one out there for our cars. This only come about recently. The other product mention by the professor worked like a limited slip, but I wouldn't call it a true limited slip answer to the open diff problem we had with these cars. There is plenty of reading about it on here...good luck with your choice.

Just making sure the OP knows the right spelling so he can look it up. I would never disrespect the prof.

Wavetrac will always be better than a Wavetec.
