General G-MAX AS or Goodyear Eagle F1 AS?
Time to replace my stock Michelin Pilot Sport AS that have 40K on them. This is my daily driver with 70 miles per day from Maryland to Northern Virginia. I still have my old (and dying) pickup that the XF replaced for heavy snow use, but want a tire that I'm not afraid to take out in an inch of snow.
I was planning on getting Conti Extreme Contact DWS, but availability blows. So I have it narrowed down to either the General G-MAX AS-03 ($688 at TR) or the Goodyear Eagle F1 AS ($898 at TR).
Any input on either tire is appreciated.

Tire Rack took my F1s back due to noise. They told me they didn't make them in the Crossfire size anymore so they replaced them with the Michelin PS AS+. With 12,000 miles on the F1s, I thought both rear wheels bearings were falling out.

I love the Pilot Sports, but for the money the performance of the Generals are very comparable for a fraction of the price. The reviews are spot on with the Mich's including weight of the tires. The Generals are my next tires.
