Default How can i make my crossfire a smoother ride?

Recently changed all 4 shocks (Monroe). I did notice a difference but it still doesn't feel like the 2002 Toyota Corolla my mom drive.

I know being a sports car means bumpier ride, but the thump and the noise when driving thru a pot hole feels harsh.

Any recommendations...

Konis, adjustable shocks. I had to get them for my SRT and I like them.
I got mine from here.

Trade your car for your moms car?

Mike, my mom loves her car. She wouldn't go for it.

She can't get in or out of mine and honestly I don't like silver!

Tires helped my ride on the SRT. It is a much stiffer ride than the N/A, but you didn't tell us what you have so we are just guessing at this point. No matter what, SRT or N/A, these cars are going to be stiffer than a normal ride. If you want a really smooth ride, find a smooth road or find a different car. You will eventually get used to the stiffness and you will appreciate it. It will come in handy if you ever have to take it through the twisties ;-)

Enjoy!!

Go to LKQ salvage and see if you can find a 16" wheels off of a 2003 Mercedes SLK 320.
Purchase a set of new tires:
205/55/16 front
225/50/16 rear
You will have a 1/2 wider track.
Your car will be nearly a 1/2 second faster in the 1/4 mile. Than a stock Crossfire
They will run quiter.
They cost less money.
Perform better in winter driving.
Your car won't handle as well as the stock Crossfire.
It will take you 6' longer to stop at 60 mph
All in all, it will ride more comfortable like a Mercedes.
This mod alone will cover all your needs, in trying to make your car ride more like a Toyota.

The numbers are on the Needswings page of the Konis.
Small, and in black.

I've driven it plenty on all kinds of roads. And I'm aware of the normal stiffness.

Will try the koni adjustable shocks.

Thanks for the input.

My intention is not to have a Toyota-like smooth ride.

+fiream... I very much enjoy your suggestion. It sounds like a very well researched finding.

Thanks.
