"Wise" because you wouldn't be claiming it is something it isn't, and most people aren't familiar enough with our cars to know the difference. The stock floating calipers aren't exactly the most aesthetically pleasing things...
For that reason alone, I like them. I would remove/omit AMG from the covers (seeing as they're not proper AMG brakes), but that's just me.
Then again, if you have an SRT-6 it uses the exact same caliper/rotor as the SLK32 AMG, so technically it may be. LOL.
"Stock" is the proper answer though.
Re: Pic of My MGP Caliper Cover...
That is how you or I would answer, but we would not accessorize our cars in this fashion, either, so as I stated, I was just curious to see how someone who would spend money on these would reply.
Not trying to flame, it is not my style, but to each their own. Just curious.
Like you said, there is about .000001% of the population that could tell if they were stock, aftermarket, or none of the above

Look, I hate caliper covers as much as the next guy, but you guys are starting to beat up on him a little too much. The forum doesn't have many members as it is, and this guy is respectful and mods the hell out of his car. I like those qualities. Please do me a favor and lighten up.

I would not have said anything if they did not have anything on them or if they said Chrysler or something.
If they were actually AMG or Mercedes parts it would be fine, there is a line.

While I do think the posts are funny giving him a hard time, I like the look. Up to this point I have put the majority of my efforts in performance upgrades but have recently been adding some bling combined with performance. Bling is good and i think these are tastefully done. It's not like he added fake side vents or something - that would be ridiculous.

I seriously LOL'd
I'm just beating on Nick. Like I said earlier, I definitely prefer them over the stock 2-piece floaters.
My calipers look like Fido's **** right now, I have zero room to talk

I think it looks nice and very clean! *thumbs up*
Re: Pic of My MGP Caliper Cover...
lol I knew the bashing would ensue, but awesome/funny comments guys! At the end of the day its my car and its what I like. Trust me if I had the funds for a 2K brake job I would do it in a heart beat. Just not on the list at the moment. I figured this was the next "thing" to do to dress up the calipers I have to my liking. I guess people can actually get a visual if they wanna go this route. Simple install takes about 5 mins per caliper and the company actually does a nice job with the product.
Thanks for the approval from the other members.
Demenntors, I have the performance under the hood, the exterior is set with out the brake upgrade, but I wanna get inside and work on my interior a bit. This car is always a work in progress lol.
Grip, I appreciate the backing. Wish I had the brake setup ur going with.
