Trying on some new shoes
Maybe these will be a better fit.

I got these for a song, so I couldn't go wrong giving them a shot. I'll probably take some better shots later in the week and put a poll to see if there is a consensus. Old people like me will likely choose the SL550's.
They look good, no doubt... Certainly easier to keep clean. I think the visual height in the rear is what's throwing me off. The fronts fit like a glove.
I'd definitely need taller and wider tires in the rear if I keep them.
Not my taste, I generally prefer plain wheels, but these are white bread, cheese pizza plain
Brabus reps for sure, look more aggressive with those massive brakes...

Good for showing the new brakes off but agree with JHM on the rear, gotta close that gap up one way or another. The space and size of the well end up making the rears look smaller than the front. Created the same kind of issue on mine when I went with 40 profile on the front and left the rears at 30. Will be going 285 35 on the next rear set.
I have a plan. I'm going to install a set of Mickey Thompson ET Streets (265/40/18) on the rear and see if that gives it a better look. If that works out, they may be a keeper. For now the wife hates them since the car looks like a go-cart from the lack of height in the rear (1-1.5").
Here's how the ET Streets look on the back with a set of 18" wheels all the way around.

The wheels are similar enough you do not even notice the rears have one less spoke unless you really look for a second. i think they look MUCH better than many of the other drag setups I have seen...
