Default BAS ESP Light

Hey everybody i am new to the crossfire seen and at the same time have never owned a car newer then a 92. Recently the BAS ESP light came on, well moments after it came on when i was coming to a red light it seems as if the front right brakes are not applying. I dont know if that is what im feeling for sure, but thats what i'm assuming im feeling. Also the next day with the light still on and and the feeling that the front right brakes were not applying, i also noticed that if i were to take off pretty quickly from a stop light that the back driver side tire would rub the inside of the wheel well pretty roughly, and was also wondering if that has anything to do with the light coming on. If anybody could assist me with the problems that I am having before i go to the shop it would be greatly appreciated.

I can't say much on the BAS/ESP light, may have to do some searching on the forum (just use the google box at the top). There are several things it could be, even low tire pressure has caused this light for some. The rear tire hitting the well should not have anything to do with this but it should also not happen! If you are not lowered or running non stock rims you may want to check the sway bar brackets and other links on that side. We may need some more info in order to help. (Aftermarket rims? How many miles? Tire sizes Etc.)

There is a procedure for resetting the light after having the battery unplugged. (Turn wheel all the way left, then all the way right and back to the middle) I assume this will not work for you though as it sounds like there is an actual issue if you can feel something wrong. Worth a shot though along with checking tire pressure.

There was a couple posts a year or so ago about the rear suspension brackets snapping the welds. I would take it to a lift (or put it on jack stands) and do a careful inspection of all the front/rear mounting points. Then come back and tell us what you found. Good luck!
