I like them a lot. Really dresses up the appearance of your ride. Only down side is that now you have a bunch of spokes to scrub brake dust off of. Seems a small price to pay for good looking wheels.

Thanks man! They're actually a bit easier to clean than the SRT wheels, since the inside corners are more rounded.

Clean look! I actually really like the lug/center section for some reason, the way it's cut really fleshes out the whole thing. Very similar to the SRT on first glance but more refined I guess you could say. Also from pics the rear doesn't look like its sunk in too far but I know from the wilhelms that they need to come out just that liiiitle bit for the perfect fit.

I couldn't agree more. It does everything the OEM wheel does right, with a bit more polish. The SRT's center caps often get bent/damaged, leaving most people with the option to simply remove them and run a Benz center cap. Problem is, there's the indent from the cap remaining, and the centers are actually painted, not machined.

Old thread I know but I'm thinking about getting a set of the Mandrus Rotec rims too. Did the ride quality change any with the lighter rims?

Nice wheels! I need to get a set of those to replace the ones with curb rash. Do they keep spinning when you stop at a traffic light?

If anything, the ride improved. The suspension has less weight to manage over the bumps, so the oscillation occurs faster and is more easily controlled. Perhaps it was a placebo effect, but I recall the car feeling more nimble. I would highly recommend these to anyone thinking about them... the finish is very close to the OEM SRT-6 wheel, with the machined face and silver painted windows. If you can get them, get the 19x9.5 +25mm offset. I was in a rush and had to settle for +35mm offset, and always felt the rear needed spacers to make the car look more "stable".

Aside from that, zero complaints. You WILL need a good premium wheel brush that can snake between the spokes... the spacing between the spokes is too small to allow a hand to pass through. The $20 brush on Autogeek would be perfect.

Most importantly, they were "Steve approved".

I ordered mine through Butler Tire in Alpharetta, GA. So, mine came with the proper lug bolts, but I'm not sure if they were thrown in as a cookie for the sale. Usually a set will run you ~$20 on eBay

I'm looking to add these same wheels - do you know what size conical wheel bolt you used without spacers?

I do not recall off the top of my head... Any vendor that sells Mandrus wheels should be able to tell you, though. Most places will sell you the bolts for about as cheap as you can find them on Amazon, etc... expect to pay about $1 per bolt. Makes sense to order them with the wheels, that way you're not responsible for any interference issues if your threads are too long.

The company I called today didn't know what length, this is why I asked if you knew - they did know that it is M12 x 1.5mm.

Do the Mandrus wheels need a hub centric ring?

Interesting... Call the folks at Butler Tire in Alpharetta GA... they should be able to tell you. That's where I ordered mine. If I still had the car, I'd pop one out and measure it for you

As for the centering ring, nope -- the Mandrus wheels are Mercedes specific. So, they mount up with zero issues.

I have now called 4 different locations to include Butler two have said 24mm and two say 28mm. Butler was 28mm, but the two that said 24mm say the 28mm click on the emergency brake cable - sure wish you still had the car. Maybe someone on the Forum who has installed these wheels without a spacer can chime in. Thanks for you help!

Good news -- many people on this forum have Mandrus wheels. Might be worth starting a thread for a quick confirmation from them.

FWIW, the lugs Butler provided me with never hit the e-brake. So, if they say 28...
