Wider Tires on 2004 Coupe
I was thinking of going with a wider tire on the rear wheels (2004 coupe) since reading the forum it seems a lot of members have wider rear tires. I just wanted to know if I would require any spacers if I used my OEM rims. I was going to put 275/35/19, the Hankook Ventus V12 EVO K110. Thanks for any info you can provide.
Make it 285's ! Im on my second (or third?) set.

If you don't like Hankook, get what you do like - just know that 285's will fit without problems or spacers.

never mind the 285...
Go Wide-No Problems Bridgestone Potenza front and back. Factory wheels without spacers. I did un-necessarly trim 3 threads off the front ball joint just because I didn't have anything to do at the time. Front and back have a slight sidewall buldge which will protect your wheels from curb rash. No unsual tire wear or rubs. Front-245/35/18 ** Back-295/30/19 Squirrel Crusher

Hey Squirrelly, how about posting up some pics of those monsters? And do the 295/30s still have a decent sidewall height compared to the fronts? I'd like to see a side shot to see how close yours comes to the outside wheel well edge. And I'll bet they look awfully meaty from the back!

I'm with Squirrel Crusher. If you go with a 275, 285, or 295 I recommend going with a 30 series.
The 35 series will fill up your wheel well better, but will effectively give your car a "higher" gear ratio.
Slightly better MPG, but slightly slower accelleration. So I guess it's a matter of what is most important to you.
