Coilovers...
I've been searching forever for a set of affordable coilovers for my crossfire. I've only found the kw kit which is like $2k. I found another set by bc racing but they've been discontinued. So I've already ordered a set of rear camber adjustment arms for a R170 MB under confirmation from the manufacturer that they are the same part. So I've begun looking for coilover kits for the same R170 chassis and was amazed at the selection available. So the obvious question at hand is are they going to be compatible? I've tried contacting sellers of these kits and they haven't been of any real help. If the chassis code is the same between the two cars, then I don't see why they should use different suspension components. I plan on visiting my local MD Dealership in search of more information and should I come to any concrete conclusions I will post the information here. Please, if anyone has any real information and not just speculation or any actual experience in this matter, add to this post and help me with this matter. Thanks everyone

Ok, kw is spendy and bc is dc lol but don't worry. I have the answer for you. First. I lowered my car with eibach pro kit springs. During my search for coilovers, I did all the research and found that k sport makes a kit that sits the Crossfire but supposedly only the srt6. The kit cost about $900 depending where you order from. now here's the thing. The rear fit perfectly. The front needed a little creative thinking but will work. You see, nobody makes a true "coilover" kit for the Crossfire. What you get is an adjustable shock and an adjustable spring and they fit in the factory mounting brackets. Problem is, the front. The adjustable spring perch doesn't fit on the lower control arm so you need to use a different spring since the one that comes with the kit is really short. If you order the k sport kit, install the rear first so you understand what you need to do with the front. Since I already had shorter lowering springs I just used the eibach front springs and added the adjustable shocks. The shocks are how you adjust the cars ride height and the springs adjust for rebound so that's what's important. But the k sport kit is the only one I found that will for sure work on the Crossfire. Here is a pic of my car with the k sport kit installed. Hit me back if you have any other questions. Hope this helps.
