Default I could use your help for a "quote" on new tires

I live in Illinois, and due to the probable weather that will come I need to think about new tires and possibly new break pads. My problem is I need to purchase a laptop for school also. If you guys could mention a good brand and the average price for those tires( please choose winter tires) That would be great. Also breaks and their price. I am a bit nervous of driving in Chicago snow this year as it will be my first winter in the snow with only the crossfire to bring me arround town. My largest travel time in the car durring the winter will average about 36 minutes if this matters. Mostly main roads. Also i plan on putting sand in a tub in the trunk. Hopefully I dont die.

I have a 04' Crossfire Coupe. with about 67000 miles.

Go to tirerack.com input your vehicle and select tires then select the set you are looking for and go through there prices. Your not going to get many responses because most people dont driver there vehicles year round.

I live in southern illinois.
I have 275/35 G-Max's on rear, with some plate weights in back, I was surprised how it did, I have a 6 spd manual instead of a automatic which helps also.
I drive alot in my ssb every week.
They are great rain.
Lots of milage and a descent price, to soft of sidewalls for them on the front in my opinion.
The blizzak would work better in snow.
If you stay at lower speeds, you can get a set of chains.
Defiantly no summer only tires, you will be in the ditch before snow falls.
