I am looking at a set of 19" wheels that I plan to put all the way around my 04 black coupe. They are Spartans and specs are 19x9.5 5x112 +35mm. From what I've read on the forum these should fit on the back, although I may need spacers(15mm) to give it the aggressive stance. My question is will I run into any problems when mounting them on the front? The 9.5" width worries me. I love the style of wheel and would be so happy if I can get this set to work. Any suggestions? I would also be grateful if other members could let me know what aftermarket wheel set up they use and tire sizes. Thanks a million

Firstly, welcome! Secondly, I think there are at least two stickies in this section for tire fitment and wheel guide tool.

There are many, many posts by people that have changed their wheels and added spacers (I am not one of them), but from what I can gather it depends on many things if it will fit or not.

I am fairly certain the 9.5" up front will not fit. I believe our stock width is 7.5 with a 35mm offset. Now, I am sure if you were determined enough you could source the correct width spacers, roll the fenders, match some low profile tires you could get them to fit (and I am sure some here have), but it will take some research.

Speaking of which, the search bar up top works pretty well (not being a smart donkey, I have been members of other forums that it did not function). Search for "offset for front wheels" or something similar and you should pull up several discussions.

This is a great site with great resources, pretty much if it has been thought of for the Crossfire it has already been tried on this forum. I would be willing to bet any issue or concern you may have with your Crossfire has already been asked and addressed on here (some multiple times)

Thank you for your reply. I have been surfing the forum for a few months now, ya'll have helped tremendously already. I have replaced my RCM and crank sensor(with Bosch) thanks to the help of this forum and was able to get my baby running smoothly again. I have decided to go with 19x8.5 Spartans front and rear. Now I just have to figure out what tire size will be the best to use. I used the wheel/tire comparer from one of the stickies, but am still a little confused. It shows that 225/40/19 (which is similar to the stock front) will work and the stock 255/35/19 of course, but whats the difference? Or can I just stick any tire on it as long as the tire comparer approves it?

 

The main difference is the height/rolling distance. Each wheel/corner has a speed/RPM sensor that the ESP/BAS systems use for traction control inputs, and the stock ratio from front to rear must be maintained.

 

A 19x9.5 +35 will fit in the rear no problem. I am running a much more aggressive width/offset than that in the rear without any problems, although I should note that my rear fenders are rolled and I have some minor camber as a result of how low my car.

As for a 19x9.5 +35 up front.......I'm not to sure about that. I have an 18x8.5 +19 (post spacers) up front and it fits fine, but when I typed in the wheel setup your inquiring about on WillTheyFit.com it looks like it'll sit rather close to the control arm. Again, I should note that I am running some camber up front as well though which changes how things fit. Personally I wouldn't run anything more aggressive than a 9" wide wheel up front. I am actually planning to do an 18x9 front / 19x11 rear for my next setup. Our rear fenders can accomodate ridiculously wide/aggressive setups but sadly our front fenders are rather shallow and can't accomodate a super aggressive wheel.
