Default 235/40 and 285/35

I need some new front tyres and think i will change the rears at the same time.

Will fitting 235/40/18 95Y and 285/35/19 103Y tyres provide me with any issues? I am using standard wheels.

I want to put the widest rears on possible, without causing any issues.

Thanks in advance.

That is a 26.9" rear tire. Think others have used them. Only place I might be concerned is the front lower edge of the wheel well at full extension (axle describes an arc as the shock extends).

That is what I use with no problems, the shop might say when they put them on the rears do not fit, but tell them to slowly let the car down and the rear suspension with slide it back and they fit fine.
I ha e not had any rubbing issues, beside the front plastic inner fender popped loose and would rub when turning sharp, fixed the inner fender and no problems.

The tire manufacturer would not recommend putting a tire that wide on our standard wheels. I know others have done it but I wouldn't.

Some 285's are within manufacturer specs for the stock 9" wheels other brands manufacturers say 275 for a 9"
My continentals dsw 285 are rated with a 9" wheel as where my good years and the Gmax in a 275, they did not have a 285.
