Before buying rear tires for my 2007 crossfire I went thru and read all of the posts on types on this forum. Wanting to keep costs down I decided to go with the Barum Bravuris 3 HM tires. I also wanted to get 285x35x19s in the back or 275x30x19s. But I cannot find that size in the Barum Bravuris tires. Can someone help me find the tire
Also, what is the best place to purchase the Barum Bravuris 3 HM tires.
For those who have 275 or 285 tires in the back what models are you running
I doubt Bravuris are made in the 275-285 size. If you want to keep within your budget stick to the standard size rear tires. I run 285 on the rear with the Michelin AS3. To check what tires are available by size go to "Tire Rack" web site and use their selection tool/filter. Most will cost around $240 each. There are a good number of Summer only tires and a fewer All Season.
Just a comment but this time of year we get frog stranglers - torrential rainstorms - almost daily so my primary concern is wet traction. I generally use Michelins on cars I plan to keep but the Crossie came with Continental Extreme Contacts and they have remarkably good wet traction.
Did dump the half worn OEM Goodyears on my Jeep when started seeing the traction control light a lot when wet. Michelins are not cheap but worth it for me.

The Barums are not available in anything wider than OEM stock for the rear of the Crossfire (see attached). I've had these (front & rear) on my 2007 Coupe since FEB, and so far I'm very pleased with the tire. I've also attached a comparison of the Barum to much pricier tires. Those pricey tires just don't have me convinced they are worth it, based on my driving style & everyday needs.
Discount Tire Direct has these listed on their website. I bought the set and had them "dropped shipped" to a local Discount Tire store.
"Barum is a tyre brand of Continental AG." Interesting. Wonder if like Michelin-BFG-Uniroyal
Pretty much the same organizational setup. Background from Wikipedia website:
Barum is a manufacturer of tyres based in the Czech Republic. The Barum tyre company was created as a subsidiary of Bata Shoes who made rubber soled boots in Czechoslovakia. The high cost of rail transport prompted the Bata company to operate its own fleet of vehicles to transport goods by road and in 1934 To counteract the high costs involved in importing tyres for its fleet of vehicles, the company decided to produce them itself. In 1945 the three major rubber-producing companies in Czechoslovakia were merged, Bata in Zlin, Rubena in Nachod [Kudrnac pre-1945] and Mitas [Michelin + Veritas] in Prague-Strašnice and post-war in Hrádek nad Nisou, being originally a subsidiary of Michelin. The Bata family lost control of the company which was seized by the state and the Barum company was born.
In 1966 the construction of a brand new manufacturing facility commenced in Otrokovice and the following year the first radial tyre was produced at the factory in Zlin. The factory was named Rudy Rijen (Red October) in 1953 after the October revolution in the Soviet Union.
In 1972 Tyre manufacture ceased in Zlin when a new plant was built in Otrokovice
In 1992 A joint venture agreement is signed with Continental AG.
Checked Discount Tire site this morning. Barums are listed as one of the matched sets stocked now. Local store on Congaree Rd in Greenville shows 2 full sets in stock inventory. Back in FEB, these tires were not listed on Discount Tire website. I had to go to Discount Tire Direct website to find them. And the tires (front & rear) are a few bucks cheaper now than when I purchased back in FEB. Wonders never cease!

Didn't know they owned Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, and are part owners of Kumho Tire Co. They also own Avon Tyres Ltd, based in Melksham, England, whose motorcycle tires I have mounted on my bike!
One thing I've learned about the prices on Discount Tire is that the prices can fluctuate considerably day to day.
If you find I good price on a set you should snag it. I've had tires in the "cart" loaded on a Sunday, ready to buy on Monday morning only to see the price go up. You can also check other zip codes to find deals.
