Default Spacers

Hopefully someone can help me out because I’m confused. I recently ordered 5x112 66.56 hub centric spacers for my rear wheels. Perfect fit no problems. Ordered the exact same ones for my front wheels and they don’t fit. There seems to be a lip on the hub that is slightly too wide. Is the front a different size than the rear?

Are you trying to fit them over the cap? Take the cap off the hub and then try your spacer. Front and rear are the same size.

Daylight where it can’t get past the ridge

is the ridge part of the cap? If I remove the cap will that cause problems with dust getting into the hub?

don't do anything to your car... take the spacer and your car to a machine shop, .show them what you want , jack up one front wheel
and have them turn down the spacer, he will take off a little like .005 then test fit then maybe take off more\
there is no set amount to take off as spacers are made by different manufactures But i did have this done.

what offset (ET) are the new wheels as we can run 30 to 39 on the front and 25 to 35 on the rear
I just fit some 18" x 8.5// 66.6 bore with ET 35 with NO SPACER front////// and for the rear 18x9. bore 66.6ET 39
send me the info on what new rims u r trying to install size, et, width. it ma take a few weeks to answer you I am out of town until
May 4the may the 4th be with you
  • Front Wheels: 18" x 7.5"
    • Offset: +35mm
  • Rear Wheels: 19" x 9.0"
    • Offset: +22mm

Yes, you do not want to drive with the cap off. I was trying to visualise what might be causing your problem. You have a bunch of black paint and some rust that needs to be cleaned off. If the spacer still doesn't fit up tight then do as AMX has said and get the spacer opened slightly to fit your hub. That
"lip" is suppose to be there and that should be the 66.56 measurement. Most hub and rim manufactures round that out to 66.6 just for the problem you are experiencing. If after cleaning the area the spacer still doesn't fit just open up the spacer a little.
I just measured two old OEM rotors I have taken from my car and they measure on my caliper 66.7mm. So you see there is plenty of "tolerance" allowed from that 66.56 specification.

Yes the paint I just put on. It’s catching the lip past the paint. I can try to grind some of the rust off but it doesn’t seem like that will be enough so I may have to go to the machine shop route
