If you put 10mm spacers on the rear will you need different hub centering rings?
Help.If you put 10mm spacers on the rear will you need different hub centering rings?
I got my Brabus wheels on the car and the rears have a different offset. They are 10" wide but actually stick into the car more. I ordered my custom hub centering rings. But I forgot to order the 10mm spacers. If I put spacers, does that mean you can't use hub centering rings, or have to get rigs custom for the spacers?
thanks
thanks

Contact this guy, price is right, make sure they fit Crossfire :

@ 5X114 I think it's going to be a stretch to fit them..
Re: If you put 10mm spacers on the rear will you need different hub centering rings?
Sounds like there are really two issues here beyond the simple one of maintaining the bolt circle (5x112) and long enough studs or wheel bolts.
Both relate to "hub centric" which means the wheel registers on the axle hub for centering and not the lugs/bolts. Lose this and you risk vibration at speed. I say "risk" because sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
First, the spacer vs hub centric. In general a 3mm spacer will leave enough of the ring to mount. More is going to need a spacer with a ring extension. A 3mm spacer will also probably still provide enough engaement for the stock lugs/bolts. Engineering books say at least three full turns. I like at least five better. More os going to need both a spacer machined to maintain the hub and either longer studs and bolts or duals (common on better wider spacers or for changing a bolt circle).
Second the wheel to the hub. Wheels specific to the car should fit properly with no help but aftermarket wheels are more "one size fits all" and are made to the broadest possible range of applications. I have seen 82mm hub centers on afermarket wheels. My notes say the Crossfire hub is 66.7mm.
This where rings are needed to maintain hub centricity. I have never used them but have heard that plastic ones may be good once. Metal ones may be resusable.
So some people get lucky and just bolt on & go. These are the ones you see putting 114.3mm (Ford 4.5") wheels on a 115mm (GM FWD) car. Mustang wheels are pretty on a boulevard cruiser. For a car used for more stressful activities, not so.
Just my opinion.

Re: If you put 10mm spacers on the rear will you need different hub centering rings?
True if the gozinta matches the gozouta but not if the hubcentric spacer matches the 66.7mm Crossfire hub and the wheel is larger. Then you need the ring.
Since the wheel is obviously not made for the crossfire and its hub diameter is not specified it is dangerous to assume they match.
It does sound like the originator has rings to match the wheel to the hub. If so they should also work on a 10mm 5x112 hub centric spacer for a 66.7mm hub.
