Default Rear Rotor Removal !!!! HELP

I'm having problems removing the rear rotors... The step-by-step procedure from the manual does not work... There seems to be a bit of an issue that DC left out... It has a 12 point star nut that has been sealed to the axel by crimping a divot into the end of the nut, onto the shaft...

The manual describes a very basic process, which I followed to the T... But this darn thing won't budge... Any help from someone would be appreciated... Because I can't figure this one out...

Do you have a wheel spacer on it? Sometimes I noticed that the wheel spacers seat crooked in the hub, you might try to use a rubberized hammer to loosen it up.

The spacers have only been there for a couple of weeks with very few miles, so I don't think that's it... I WD40'd the heck out of it... The manual is pretty specific, remove caliper, remove set screw, remove rotor... Yet, neither side will budge even with a bit of tapping. Even though the manual doesn't mention it, it looks like you have to remove the hub nut, but it is forged onto the axel with a divot.

Have you removed the rears ?

The fronts came off easily...

I replaced the front and rear with Brembo's and as far as the manual goes it is really that easy. I did try tapping it when I first installed it.

Yeah, it turned out that the rotors were seized to the hub... A little persuasion in the form of a mallet helped...

Just remember, if brute force doesn't work it just means you're not using enough of it.

Glad to hear you got them off. Be sure to let us know how those SRT-6 parts work out. I'm half tempted to do this mod myself....
