Looking for an N/A Retractable Wind Deck
Hi TEAM....
Looking for an N/A Retractable Wing Deck, just the Skateboard- no other parts.
I want to try a larger wing but still have it retract, so in order to not screw up my original, I want to get another to drill.
Anyone know of one out there?
Thinking about adding this CarbFib wing on top of the Std Deck.
I may have to upgrade the hatch lift shocks as well.
Keep the BOOOOs to a minimum, if you can

You know, I understand everybody has an opinion, and on this forum it's accepted, even encouraged to express them. Then there are those who just can't help themselves.

Personalizing your car is your priviledge, but be aware, when ever you deviate from "stock" most puriest will immmediately jump on you for even entertaining such outrageous thoughts.
That being said, don't hesitate to experiment with new ideas. Especially when you're not altering an "original" part that came on your car. How else would new ideas and parts ever get created?
I will tell you, changing my hood was the best mod I could have made, and I've never had a moments regret. I didn't do it because I didn't like the original hood strakes, I just wanted to make my car reflect the type of car I feel the Crossfire really is. When Chrysler decided to "water down" the unique Crossfire hood design by using it on an SUV, Pacifica, and even a "fleet" car Sebring, I had no problem making the change.
Some Crossfire owners love the small spoiler, some prefer the SRT style. Others long for a Startech design. Maybe a new even more exciting design may be floating around in your imagination.
I've thought about trying to come up with a custom spoiler, (and I've made several drawings) but I just haven't hit on anything that looks right to me. I'll be looking forward to seeing what you might come up with.
Check out MrMopar, or LKQ for body parts. Good Luck

I always go back to Porsche design that can pull off some really goofy looking wings and spoilers. Who's up for some version of a whale tail on our cars?
At any rate, I like the NA wing better than I like the SRT wing, but some combination of the two could be interesting. One of the coolest features of the Crossfire, and in my experience the thing that gets the most inquiries, is the speed activated spoiler.
And so we're clear, I think the term "rice" should only apply to FWD cars with rear wings.. at least on RWD, most spoilers and wings serve a function

I'd be interested in what you come up with.
I think the Roadsters look better with the Motorized wing and the Coupes look better with the SRT wing.
Just my two cents....

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the reason for a spoiler to cancel "lift" and/or create down force at speed?
If I'm not mistaken, even front wheel drive cars can start to lift at speed.
As Howard pointed out, Chrysler did a fine job with the Crossfire's aerodynamics (unlike the original Audi TT), but I think an old Forum regular (HDDP) improved it.
