Spare Tire
Damn man. If you get upset over a spare tire answer, wait until the RCM, CPS, Skreem, goes out....lol. Sorry man, but AAA is the best answer as I used this service for three sons I put thru college. It worked fine. Why? Cause your daughter isn't going to change that tire, you will, and it will happen at a time you are out of the country....just seems to work out that way. AAA is a phone call and a wait, but it gets the job done...

My wifes car has a spare in the trunk, a jack and the wrench, if she gets a flat she'll call CAA or me.
Dear Ala-xfire
I do not understand what you are saying technically and have a curiosity for your opinion.
Can you explain more about why it is not safe if I use front size tire as a spare tire for rear? and what can be happen ?
Thanks

Then I might suggest that you didn't think things thru - and bought the wrong car for her. Don't get me wrong, I love my Crossfire, but it can be expensive to maintain and things like tires can be expensive when compared to oh, so many cars.
I have driven, in my 35+ years of driving, something on the order of 1.4 million miles (I know because of the logs I kept while in the service industry). In that time, I ONCE had a tire fail instantly on me, I hit a small piece of steel and it cut a four inch gash in the tire, rendering it flat and useless right away.
Other than that, I have never really needed a spare time. In the Crossfire (my only car at this time) I carry a tire plug kit and the factory supplied air compressor. In some 70,000 miles with the car, I have had to plug ONE tire - no big deal. It took all of 20 minutes, including yanking the tire off and putting it back on. But I don't expect your daughter to do such a thing and Im sure you don't either. How 'bout YOU take the Crossfire and you get her something far more effective and practical for her needs?
The Fall Dragon is coming up - buy her a used Camry, sign up for the Dragon - and let the midlife games begin!

I live in NJ and NY/NJ area has many pot holes and etc... I believe we need spare tire
I drive 88 conquest rear wheel drive different tire size on front and rear, and carrying a spare tire in the trunk, wife drives cayenne and carrying a option spare tire on the back of her car. sun does not cause any problem with his car cause he has a normal car acura sedan
Problem is that I like conquest( already 24 years )which is not such a normal ,my wife likes her cayenne which need couple of previous work before lifting car with jack in the case of tire problem, , and my daughter likes her own cute crossfire which has an abnormal spare tire concern (I like to put two spare tires if trunk size allow...)
