Spare Tire
They had some goop in a can to fix flats but you had best not use it. For the cost of a spare you could join the AAA or similar and hope you are not too far from home when you get a flat.
LOL... now I realize why we got the roadster.. in case my coupe has a flat!
Actually you should have the oversized - outdated - useless can of fix a flat..jack..lug wrench..and air pump in the trunk. A tire plug kit is the most common "spare" carried.
Just as a foot note: Seems the 19" tires are not readily available 9-10 times.. I have the rear tires I replaced in the garage in case one on the cars get wasted.

Actually I bought this car for my daughter so spare tire is kind of concern.
My favorite is conquest, starion is another name.
Conquest also has different size of tires in the front and the rear...but still provide spare tire.
Member of crossfire seems not know about their own car, or worry two much trying something ... cause I do not see any productive answer... what a pity...
check startquestclub.com and how the member advise to other member..
Thanks anyway like to see your spare car hahaha

It's been asked and discussed many times before. The search function will help you find prior related posts. Here is one link to a prior discussion thread on the issue:

my writing was not for you Mrmiata.
it was for onehundred80.
If you feel uncomfortable, I apology
Regarding of thr search function of this site,
I checked spare tire issues via sersch function of this site.
There are two type of answers only as long as i see.
The first answer is kind of another question that slightly upgraded tire size of the front could be OK for both front and rear as a spare tire?
and the upgraded size was 225/45/18 instead of 225/40/18 original size.
The second answer was using a spare tire of the mercedes slk 320 or similar.
problem was that there was no more after for the first answer and only 50% (for rear) OK for second answer.
There seems no way for solving spare tire issues with only one tire.
Maybe there are not many try for crossfire owner to solve this issue
I read one answer having a AAA is a good solution... hahaha what a answer ... sound like i am talking to my daughter ^^

There really is no "Great" solution on a spare. As noted you will end up with no room for anything else. I actually ran over a 1/2" diameter bolt that pierced my wheel also.. you want to talk fun.. LOL.
I ended up with the slk wheel till I got a replacement. Any trip out of town with luggage is a roll the dice thing.
Pretty much just an accepted risk in owning one of these cars.

I have mentioned before if anyone is on Vancouver Island B.C. I have spare rims and tires I am willing to loan if anyone got stuck here.
I carry a tire plug kit with a pair of plyers for emergency fix. Other members all over the country have helped other Crosssfire members if they have been stuck.

Thanks Guys
OK, I concluded that i better carry extra one more front tire set including rim.
I just bought re manufactured front 18' rim via Ebay.
One thing not yet decided is tire size... either original 225/40/18 or 225/45/18...
One guy suggested that using 225/45/18 could be better than factory size 225/40/18, but no conclusion for the suggestion yet.
Think i have to decided the right tire size ..
Once again, thank you, Mrmiata, Onehundred80, Bjames, Turbomar, and specially Toolman. ^^

If, as you say, your daughter is driving this car, you should look into some means of securing whatever spare you decide on.
A loose spare in the back is a missile in any accident, especially if the accident involves a roll-over.

I have driven, in my 35+ years of driving, something on the order of 1.4 million miles (I know because of the logs I kept while in the service industry). In that time, I ONCE had a tire fail instantly on me, I hit a small piece of steel and it cut a four inch gash in the tire, rendering it flat and useless right away.
Other than that, I have never really needed a spare time. In the Crossfire (my only car at this time) I carry a tire plug kit and the factory supplied air compressor. In some 70,000 miles with the car, I have had to plug ONE tire - no big deal. It took all of 20 minutes, including yanking the tire off and putting it back on. But I don't expect your daughter to do such a thing and Im sure you don't either. How 'bout YOU take the Crossfire and you get her something far more effective and practical for her needs?
