Then I might suggest that you didn't think things thru - and bought the wrong car for her. Don't get me wrong, I love my Crossfire, but it can be expensive to maintain and things like tires can be expensive when compared to oh, so many cars.

I have driven, in my 35+ years of driving, something on the order of 1.4 million miles (I know because of the logs I kept while in the service industry). In that time, I ONCE had a tire fail instantly on me, I hit a small piece of steel and it cut a four inch gash in the tire, rendering it flat and useless right away.

Other than that, I have never really needed a spare time. In the Crossfire (my only car at this time) I carry a tire plug kit and the factory supplied air compressor. In some 70,000 miles with the car, I have had to plug ONE tire - no big deal. It took all of 20 minutes, including yanking the tire off and putting it back on. But I don't expect your daughter to do such a thing and Im sure you don't either. How 'bout YOU take the Crossfire and you get her something far more effective and practical for her needs?

The Fall Dragon is coming up - buy her a used Camry, sign up for the Dragon - and let the midlife games begin!
