I need a set of struts (Stabilus) for the trunk of my 05 Roadster

The ones on the car are no longer charged and it make the trunk hard to open.

Mine was extremely hard to open and it was just gunked up. I used WD40 and a rag to clean the rods and did that about 3 times then I put some silicone lube on them and just opened and closed the trunk a couple dozen times to get it loosened up. I have had no problem since - 3 years. Worth a try and way cheaper and easier. Hope that helps!

That would be Rocket Chemical Company founder Norm Larsen.
( WD = Water Displacement, 40 = the 40th attempt at the formula )

 

They used fish oil then but not now.
