No electronics per se, but there is a hood locked switch.

locks hood closed with doors just like trunk

Does NOT "lock the hood closed", just tells the BCM/CLP that someone jimmied it while the alarm is set.

It could be pneumatic if it hooks to the locking system.

It is nothing more that a basic microswitch, you can drive with the hood half latched, but it gives only two flashes when you try to lock the car but the car does lock.
