Default WTB Needswings CAI or DCAI SRT6

Hello I am interested in purchasing a cold air intake or Dual Cold air intake for SRT6.

If anyone has an extra on they are willing to part with please let me know.

I think Rob at Needswings might have a few "spare" ones

These don't pop up often, I think you will have to be patient and keep an eye out. Good luck.
If you don't want to spend big bucks, there is always the DIY option or the sl55 intake.

I don't mean to be a Di ck or to slam a sponsor or anything, but what on earth makes the NW intake worth anywhere NEAR $800???!!!!
Like seriously??? $800 dollars for two pipes and a "Y" coupler!? get out of here. Air intakes are one thing that a generic eBay one is just as good. For any car, a $30 ebay tube and filter is the same as a $200 K&N CAI. wait, yeah an actual name brand K&N is like a third the price of the NW one.

Sucks, because I'm sure this will leave a bad taste in somebody's mouth, and I really like NW and the stuff that they make. but get real.

The NeedsWings thinwall aluminium just fits while making power. Unlike the substandard kits. Rob may still have a yellow power coat DCAI that someone didn't pickup. You sound like someone that likes deep discounts. You could repaint over the power coat yourself with the color of your choice. Just passing along a suggestion. Good Luck.. Squirrel Crusher

Everyone's entitled to an opinion. Many members here have designed and built their own single and double CAI systems. Rob I'm sure has put a lot of R&D into his products, with proven results. I'm not a fan of CAI systems, but for certain applications, they become proven support mods, especially for aspirated motors. K&N CAI systems generally run $300-400 (simular pricing to NW's single CAI), which are nothing more then a polyethylene tube and a not so efficient airbox IMO. I've witnessed power losses on dynos with full size half ton trucks utilizing K&N systems. It all depends on what you feel is suitable for you're application.
