Default Outside Air Temperature Probe

Funny, I could not find the thread on this, I know I've seen it before. I have discovered why I have not seen the probe protruding from the black SRT, it is not there or it is broken off. I do see the probes on the other two cars. Could someone point me to the thread describing how to replace this external probe? Also, do any engine management systems use the temp data or is it only for me to know the outside air temp.? Thanks in advance....PEACE

First, if your dash temp gauge is still working, then the probe hasn't been knocked off.
I believe the ECM uses the ambient temperature in it's injector cycle calculations ( AFR ).

Ever notice how we can track our intake temps... now what data would be more useful in combustion?

Agreed, IAT is much more useful, but I did read that somewhere back in a thread where someone had a busted outside air temp probe.
