Wanted Door Remote
Where can I purchase a remote that will just lock and unlock the doors and trunk. NOT an ignition start key... although that would be nice also but every where I check they are back ordered for months. I just want a remote to be able to lock and unlock.... Does someone sell these?

Hello Larsman . So far these are not available and possibly never will .. The supply keeps going back and back so no ETA. Mercedes and Chrysler killed this car with the electronics you can buy most any mechanical part but no electronic parts dealing with the security Skreem system . Mercedes has a tight squeeze on this out dated over kill security system . In good faith Mercedes should sell rights to an aftermarket company to keep our cars on the road . So if you loose your key your screwed ..So do not buy a used key they ( DO NOT WORK ) save your money !! these keys are vin related . The only way to fix your problem as far as I can see is remove the vacume locking system and replace with a solenoid electric system with one of the many after market remote locking systems I have not heard anyone doing this to a Crossfire yet . Best of luck
That is exactly what I plan on doing... Going after market electric remote for the doors and hopefully the trunk. That way I will have 2 remotes to lock and unlock the doors. THEN I am thinking about purchasing an UNCUT key fog ($12 to $20 for 2) ) and have it cut locally ($40 each) and leave the ORIGIONAL key fob with the transponder chip inside the car and very close to the ignition. That way I think I would have actually 3 keys for this car. 2 new keys without the original remotes but I will attach these new keys to the new electric door lock/unlock remotes. I figure with a little work, which I can do, and less then $175 I will have basically 2 new remotes with keys for this car plus the original remote that will start the car but will no longer lock/unlock the doors. NOW DOES THIS SOUND LIKE IT WOULD WORK? I think you or someone stated that they are not sure anyone has converted to electric door locks. I just don't know why when it is IMPOSSIBLE to get a replacement remote for this car. I have been told they will be available in a few months and then when I call back then they tell me it will be many more months or it will not be available. I just do not like having only ONE KEY / REMOTE for ANY car. I don't like doing what I think I am going to have do but when no working remote is available at ANY COST I do not want to wait until I have NO WORKING REMOTE and NO WAY to start this car.....

I'll attach some photos of the key fob that I have that works to unlock/lock the doors/trunk. That tells me that folks have the circuitry to unlock and lock the Crossfire doors/trunk even if they don't have the circuitry to work with the SKREEM to start the car. I suggest that you contact Viper/Clifford and just start asking what they have. It might not be cheap, though.
Also, check on eBay. There are people selling replacement door lock systems that supposedly work with Crossfires.
As I said, I just tried this Viper remote and it worked to unlock and lock the doors. I just wish I could figure out what all they changed to my car's alarm system.....but that's another day.....
