Hey folks ... I have a problem ... the switch on my window frame, is gonzo ... it will not recognize my rooftop when it is up, on my 2005 Crossfire roadster ... thus, the car thinks it it has not completed its cycle ... in any case, does anyone have a spare switch to sell? Please let me know, thanks ...
I just read your other post that ckarified the switch...the one In the header. The right knowledgeable guy responded. Pizzaguy's the guru on the top's operation. I'll see if I can find that part #.
Sorry this took so long...did a lot of reading. All I have is the Chrysler part #. It's the Top Latch Switch 05166831AA. I did a Google search and it's discontinued. Your best bet is a salvage yard or Facebook Marketplace.

That actual switch is probably still made, but without the little bracket.
Finding the exact switch in the manufacturer's parts pages - then finding a retail source for them is a nightmare - best to buy the one from Shamrock.
We have managed to find individual relays in the RCM, I have two left, they cost $3 each in lots of six. Finding all the little switches (that Mercedes calls "sensors") is not easy.

Oh my god ... a BIG BIG THANK YOU to SHAMROCK ... for saving my bacon on my Crossfire convertible ... not only, did everyone on this thread help me to diagnose the issue ... but, Shamrock gave me a fair price, and dutifully shipped it to me, as promised ... wow ... what can I say, guys ... this is the best forum ever ... in closing: I got it fixed, and, the top is fine now ... it shuts off when you put the top up ... and, I can rest assured it will be OK, as it sits in storage for the winter ... this car, I vow, will NEVER see snow or salt ... not an effing chance ... again, thank you ladies and gents, for helping me to find the problem, and get it fixed ... the part in question did the trick ... amazing ...
