We were talking about overall diameter size differences.. My opinion.. Smaller diameter.. Worst gas millage.. Bigger diameter.. Better gas millage. Hence longer distance travelled per rotation...

Attached is a file I use to show various wheel/tire size combos & the impact on the Speedo/Odo accuracy. I have one of these for all my cars.

I use the mutipliers, if applicable, to calculate actual miles driven each year for MPG & Operating Cost tracking. I've also attached the XFire graphs.

Yesterday gave the 2007 Coupe a good washing & then dried her off. Placed her under cover as we're headed to Bryson City, NC today for a ToD weekend with the VW New Beetle owners. Taking our 2006 VW New Beetle ragtop (see attached).

Test fitting 3m carbon fiber around the windshield surround. I'm thinking it's a go, I really like the accent finish to the graphite metallic.

Time of year for me to treat the leather seats in the XFire. Applied Lexol Leather Cleaner first to remove any residue on the seats. Then applied Lexol Leather Conditioner. Usually do this in the spring & fall every year. Also polish the headlights, taillights & fog lights during same time frame.

I spent two hours doing the polished exhaust modification. Boy was that a forearm workout!

Alrighty, now that the windshield surround is removed, time to start the vinyl wrap process. The tool I utilized to remove the trim pieces is a interior trim tool by SG. Works like a gem, just take your time.

I started my weeks vacation after work on Friday so I decided to get the vert out and hit the largest weekly cruise in in the Cincinnati area. Only Crossfire there and the place was packed. I stayed a couple hours and talked to several people, one of which had a 2007 vert that he sold in 2011. After checking mine out he said he might have to pick up another one. I got home after dark so today I went over her with some spray detailer and swept out the interior.

Changed my trim to flat black. Still need a bunch of wet sanding to get everything smooth, but I am liking the color a lot. Got the idea from a post I saw on this forum.

I will provide another update after the sanding and also the install of some interior door handle covers and pillars covers I found from an outlet in the UK.

Love this forum. Keep it coming guys!

Thanks, I utilize a combination of polishing compounds, and sealants. These are primarily the three combinations I use on a regular basis, along with my Flex equipment.

After debating, I'm having the windshield surround sprayed, to be color matched metallic graphite. Dropped the parts off tonight.

Just installed my Afe pro-dry filter. Bought this air filter because I don't like the idea of re-oiling. Then I gave my ride a good wash and wax.

Great choice on the aFe Pro-dry filters. I'm going on 3+ yrs with mine mounted in my C240 M/B cover on my wifey's daily driven N/A. They do make a cleaning kit similar to the K&N kit that I use once a year and they are still good as new!

About to pull the car out for kind of a busy few days if the weather cooperates. Sunny and 70 today so the wife and I are going to go for a top down cruise with a lunch stop along the way. Then there are a couple shows this weekend that I am planning on hitting. The weather for Saturday is kinda iffy, but at this point Sunday looks great. Friday looks pretty wet so I may try a new polish that day.

Didn't do this today but thought it was time to report the issue and apparent fix.

My car (2004 Coupe with 80,000 miles) was getting a bit rough at idle some times, stumbling from time to time when I'd pull up to a light. It would also hesitate sometimes when I tipped into the throttle. Finally threw a CEL and the code showed P0121 - throttle position sensor. I did some quick research and this site came up - P0121 - OBD-II Trouble Code

So, I took their advice and picked up some throttle body cleaner and MAF cleaner and had at it. Yep, the throttle body was really dirty but cleaned up quickly and easily. It's been almost a week and not a hint of stumble at idle. Total cost: about $8. Total time: about 30 minutes.

Just finished putting the car away, we went for a pre lunch and after lunch cruise. Got home about 3:00 pm and then did it all over again for dinner. Top down all the way even though it was turning a little cool after the sun went down. It was a great day. We ended up putting about 75 miles (give or take a few) on the old girl today. Tomorrow will be a detail day to get ready for at least one show this weekend.
