I went for a drive in the new toy and after i took some pics of it !

my Eurocharged stock 06 srt6 coupe with its new plates/tags. it is Mint and done only 32000 kms. It coincidently came with the very same Meinlenkrad Steering wheel as i got for my roadster !

This car is/was gonna be my garage queen ...if i can ever quit driving it ! However that srt roadster is still my favourite little BEAST , as it should be haha

Had a 5 hour window of free time, so I went ahead and changed plugs, wires, and most importantly, the new Needswings Teflon coated valve covers and SS hardware. My oil leak was on the drivers side, not just the breather covers, but 3 separate leaks around the gasket as well, which I believe was due to improper torque on the valve covers. It kept dripping onto the exhaust manifold. Looks much better! I'll have to do some test runs, just make sure everything is good, then onto the passenger side, which doesn't leak.

Plugs were definitely due! 12 years, 40k miles

Since I had the belly-pan removed, I did a little TLC to it as well.

Your picture of the valve train looks exactly like the one I posted several years ago of mine at 50,000 + miles.
I find it amazing that the innards still look new after all those miles and years !

The gasket came off attached to the valve cover. I was surprised when the valve cover released from the head so easily, I was expecting to tap it slightly to break the seal.

I was pleasantly surprised as well! I've seen photos posted here, I believe one of them being your photo of a clean valve train, and others with what look like residual fluid casting a gold tint within all the internals. Like you said, credit to MB, and Mobil1, they appear emaculant still!

First car show of the year today for the Crossfire, 400+ vehicles. They broke it down to two classes, Top 80 1994 and older and Top 60 1995 and newer. I counted 81 cars in my class and I know I probably missed a few. I counted 41 Mustangs, 12 Corvettes, 11 Challengers and 3 Prowlers. I was the only Crossfire. To top it all off I got home and my wife had put together a little birthday celebration for me. All around a great day.

Removed the front sway bar brackets, slid the bushings side to side and lubricated with silicone grease.

Degreased & rinsed off the engine bay yesterday. Today sprayed CD2 Engine Detailer throughout the engine bay (had 3 cans on garage shelf). Allowed it to dry for 20-30 minutes. with the hood up. Then started the car & allowed it to idle for another 20-30 minutes with hood up to further along the drying process. Then took it for a spin (20-30 minute drive) to set the detail spray (best part of the whole process!). Wiped any access off when I got home. Attached pics show result.

Later,

This morning I placed the Karmann domed stickers I received from BestStickers.net on the Crossfire. Went for the Light Blue with Red version since the Machine Gray on my Crossfire is somewhat dark. Wanted the contrast to see the domed sticker.

After the wife sees these, she may want them removed. She's more finicky about keeping the Crossfire "stock-looking" than even I am. And I'm nearly a fanatic!

I see a trophy sitting in front (where it should be)! Congratulations!

I had the skid plate off my 2007 Coupe this morning & followed your lead. Had a can of Duplicolor Charcoal Bumper Paint on the shelf. Cleaned up the skid plate and painted it. Turned out pretty well.

Replaced the subwoofer surrounds this evening. Guess my alignment check may have been a bit off since the passenger side still rattles a bit at low volume. Totally disappears at the level I normally listen to music at, so not a huge deal. Still better than the horrible crackling noise from before.

Yesterday I ran wires for a satellite radio on the edge of the trunk. Today it's a backup camera and a new Jensen VX 7012 radio. Easy to run the wires with the tonneau up.

Later,
That's not a bad idea, I'll have to check that product out. Mine was a 10 minute cleanup and applied a product called Finish Solution. Which is a rubber, plastics, etc... rejuvenater.
