Default Test Track- Denied?

A month or so ago in another thread, there was a discussion of leasing the test track near Marysville, Ohio known as the old Honda Proving Ground or Transportation Research Center. I contacted the facility and talked to a couple different people, but the final response is that they will not allow "public" use of the high-speed track (lawyers). They may consider a "road" course, but they want corporate involvement. So that leaves two directions, does anyone know of another track that may be open to the public, or should I contact Chrysler to see if they would sponsor an event? Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the link, it was very helpful. I completely forgot about the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. I will contact them next week and see what they can offer.
