Default I found the culprit!!

A few days after buying a '05 Crossfire I walked into a local supermarket called Winn Dixie (I live in NC) and as I went through the security gate, the alarm went off. Hmmm, I wondered why...

A few days later I went into a Circuit City and upon entering the store the alarm went off. Hmmm, everyone turns and looks at me and what can I do but shrug. Needless to say, leaving the store, the same alarm went off.

Ok, back to Winn Dixie and again the alarm went off. Well, that was it. I went through my pockets and tried the alarm fob for my PT Cruiser, no problem, tried the alarm fob for my home security, no problem, tried the Crossfire fob and the alarm blared! Interesting...

Anyone else had this happen?

How odd. It hasn't happened to me yet with my keys.

You will be able to really annoy your local stores  . I wouldn't get that "feature" fixed unless it affects your XF.

I've been in Winn Dixies in both Nags Head, NC and in Va. and nothing like that has happened to me.

Are you pressing the panic button? My key has yet to set off any alarms.

It's in my pocket, untouched.

Are you on Candid Camera, and someone is setting off the alarm when you walk past?

Used to work for a grocery chain here in Tampa Bay. We took one of those alarm strips and gave it to the managers wife who placed it in his shoe where he wouldn't feel or see it. You talk about driving someone crazy for a long time. Everytime he entered or exited the store the alarms would go off. Maybe someone is messing with you?
Interesting the key fob does it.

This is very odd. Today I went into a few stores with security gates. Most of them were fine but then! Bang, pass through one and the alarm went off. I stopped, truned and held out the fob (it the gate) and it went off again. Man this is spooky. I'm calling Chrysler to see what the story is.
