Default Close call with a Mustang

On my way to the store today I came around a blind curve (on a back road) and right in the middle of the road sits a girl on a Mustang talking on her cell phone.
Fortunately I wasn't driving very fast, and when she noticed me, she very slowly got out of my way. I felt like I should have apoligized for disturbing her phone call.

Ooops, my Wife (the equestrian) informed me it wasn't a Mustang.
She said it was probably a 1/4 horse.

1/4 horse:
a horse of a small, stocky breed noted for agility and speed over short distances. It is reputed to be the fastest breed of horse over distances of a quarter of a mile
Mustang:an American feral horse, typically small and lightly built.

If it wasn't fast Mike, you are again correct, but I wouldn't tell Barb.
Hope to see you both in Eureka Springs for the CAA!

Steve, I don't know how quick that horse was, but it's rider was certainly not in any big hurry to get out of the center of the road.
It will be great to see you and your lovely Wife again. (Just wish it wasn't a whole miserable N.E. Ohio winter away).

Don't even mention close calls...I drove from Miami to Tampa yesterday and I had about 6 close calls none my fault and I was not going fast (thankfully). Could be Florida but if you ask me I have seen drivers getting worse and worse over the years but especially as of late!
Lots of drivers changing multiple lanes on the highway back and forth without blinking (or looking), idiots tailgating during busy traffic on the highway, folks who believe when the light changes to red you still have about 3 seconds to cross oh and quite a few motorcycles passing in between cars and running in and out between vehicles...oh boy!
Maybe we need stricter driving tests?? Or mandatory road-ed courses??

No one seems to be innocent these days when it comes to sell phone use. I have a nice advantage point from my tractor, and I came out of Chicago yesterday and just about 90% of everyone passing me was on a phone, texting or talking. It's everywhere and it is just "beware" time. No one pays attention to their driving anymore. But a chick on a horse is a new one for me....
MIKE, since you are in OH. While in Southern OHIO, I came across an Amish buggy with a CB antenna.....any thoughts....LOL>.....

Doc, My Niece use to work for a Haflinger "horse" registry, (she owns a half dozen herself). Anyway, she dealt with dozens of N.E. Ohio Amish on a daily basis.
They were OK with battery power.
But I can honestly say. I've never seen an Amish buggy with a CB antenna before.
Just curious, did you give him a "shout out" good buddy when you passed by him?
Get any bear reports?
