A clunking noise
Since I have bought my roadster last November, I have noticed a perceptible "clunking" noise just as I start to lower the top. Otherwise, the top operates perfectly with no problems whatsoever. My best guess is that it may have something to do with the latching mechanism, when it releases the rear of the top to allow it to fold upwards during the stowing process.
I will certainly do more investigating on this in the spring when the car comes out from hibernation, but for now, just wanted to see what the more enlightened here think.
Thanx.

Re: A clunking noise
My clunking is coming from the rear of the car not the latch. I noticed when the trunk lining is all the way down there is exposing, nothing for velcro to attach to. Is there a back piece missing. Do you think the flimsy piece in the trunk be the problem ? It seems to be a problem at low speeds and bumpy roads. Please e-mail me at chrisp92103. Its driving me nuts!
