Default Switchback LED

Hi,
I'm going to be installing some daytime running lights. They will be installed on the upper side of the headlamp. I will be using switchback led's when the key is turned on the white led strip is activated and when the turn signal is activated the amber light takes over and will blink in accordance to the turn signal and will automatically turn off the white on the side which the turn signal is activated.
My question is as to where to tap into the left and right turn signal.. Is there a fuse that I can tie into in the engine bay or a wire to splice into to get the signal.
Any info would be great.
Thanks

No direct wires for the upfront turn signals. They use contact metal pads directly. Your best bet is to tap into the fuse box or use a relay.

Not sure what you mean by contact metal pads?
How does the power get from point a to b?
Does the power go through the multi function switch in the column and to a blinker relay? Does that go through the fuse box in the engine compartment as well which I could tap into?

As in they don't have exposed wires to tap into in the headlight unit itself. Rather you'll have to tap into somewhere else for power though I'm not sure how you'd get the wires all the way back to the fuse box.

I will have to take a look at the wiring diagram and see which fuse is used for the turn signals

You will need to tap into the hot wire for the turn signal in the socket at each headlight.
( I's in the wiring diagrams in the service manual )

Ok thanks, that was my next step to look at the service manual.
One can't get access to that wire anywhere prior? On a fuse somewhere?

All the fuses are back inside the cabin in the ILCM ( headlight switch )

Ya I was afraid of that, having to tap into that and then running wires through the fire wall.. There must be a way to track those wires right to the headlamp and tap into it there. Probably look into disconnecting the main plug that goes into the headlamp and find which wire is associated with the blinkers..
