It's a new variable compression ratio, that adjusts from, 8:1 to 14:1 and is coming out in the new Infiniti.

Thanks George, I found it interesting that , on the fly ,the computer makes compression ratio adjustments. I use to mill or change heads. Maybe change rods or put in domed pistons, change cams or cranks. This innovation, gives you great lower end torque, and a smoother top end speed, in a 4 cylinder engine.
OMG, just how in he11 will anyone who works on their own cars, troubleshoot THIS system?
