Default Whoopsy 74mm TB

Ok have I totally messed up. Bought larger 74mm TB and correct gasket for my 04 Limited. Problem as I understand and after I bought it is that I don't have the larger MAF housing and that there is no HP performance gain adding larger TB without adding CAI. Which I don't want to do. Over to someone willing to help. If that's the case then TB and gasket will be up for sale shortly. Thanks.

There should be some gain anyway.

Huge thanks. Where do I have the larger MAF or do I really need it for the 74mm TB? Using the PDF file to do the install. Thanks 180 you have me on the past. Joe

180 - sorry for typos. Hit 60 and naturally pushed send too quickly cause it all looks right! Anyway, do I need the larger MAF and I will be using the PDF file to do the install thanks to your feedback. You have helped me in the past. Thanks for what you and other senior members do and have done. Joe

You do NOT need the larger MAF sensor, just the larger MAF housing.
You can install a Mercedes type engine cover that has larger air filters and be very close to the gains offered by a NeedsWings CAI.

The MAF Housing is P/N: 113 094 00 48

The Elbow is P/N: 112 141 01 90

and see this thread from onehundred80 :https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ttle-body.html

I do not know. I copied that from another post.
I have a CAI so I didn't use it.

Ala_xfire and Okehundred80:
Thanks for the feedback and links. The link for new owners was huge in helping avoid potential nonstarting and nonrunning issues. It's my car Bible and I have done RCM, new key, sticky ignition, crankshaft position sensor, flush and oem thermostat; plus steering stabilizer which was totally gone, hood strut, spark plugs, new air filters and have fluid changeout next week of the differential, brakes and manual transmission. Thanks again for you both helping an old guy like me enjoy a nice ride with some assurance it will get where I am going and back and be fun. Next I will look for the MBenz engine cover as suggested, larger MAF housing and some colorpaste for some wear on driver seat. I think you both have SRT6's and congrates. Much appreciated. Joe

Thank's Joe, but I have only the lowly 2005 Limited Roadster.
Onehundred80 is the blowerhead ( or blowhard, take your choice )with the SRT6.
Come over some weekend and we'll talk all things Crossfire, I am fairly fluent in the language.
