Like I said, in my 19 years with Crossfires I never had a belly pan connected where those slots are.
The belly pan is secure with the 3 front screws and the 2 rear screws and doesn't sag at all in the middle so I'm not concerned.

To this day, I believe the 08's were thrown together with leftover parts that completed cars. The reason I say this, my Launch CRP123 (second hand) and the Launch CRP-123E (new) doesn't read the SRS system no matter what MB cars I tried to read. OK, now for the point of the post, my bottom pan has the tabs on the splashguards and the slots on the pan. Oh, BTW John, when I first got the car and inspected the undercarriage, I removed the splashguard and when placing it back also put one of those 'trim' pins in the hole where it attaches with the front facia (if this was the hole you found missing a 'clip/pin'.
