The mounting holes match up, I would think the pulley is the same size. The orientation looks the same.
Is it because the pulleys are made of different materials? Has this been tried?

I would think not because the tensioner has to take a lot more stress. I sure wouldn't if I owned an SRT-6, if it does explode down the line I wouldn't want to have to fix it (iffin I had one)...
