It almost takes two hands to get minr back down. Alot of pressure at the bottom on the front, and a pretty firm push on top of that. Definately one of the most annoying things on this car.
Yep, seems like time for a "bin"
Seriously, we replaced ours with a bin and aren't looking back. We were just leaving the cuphold in the open position and bought a "pencil holder" (shiny or black availability) at Walmart before we switched to the bin.
Oh, the cup holder is also where I like to rest my arm on longer trips. I place a firm futon pillow on the center console. We switched to the
Corvette cup holder and I now have the best of both worlds.
