I have been stumped today about what you call people that follow you on the highway for miles out.....not tailgating, but almost like you are the pace car or the first to get caught speeding.....you might go for 30miles...then they pass you for 30miles then they slow down and get behind you again...this goes on for awhile. I admit that I have done this when taking long hwy trips but I thought there was a name we call these hwy drivers or manuevers??
Well, my pickup has no cruise control, so on long trips I pace a car doing what speed I want to do. If I don't, I end up all over the "speed spectrum"... this way, my mind does an automatic "keep the distance constant" thing and it's less tedious. I even do this in the company van. But I dont' ever PASS the person, not usually, as that defeats the purpose.
