I never open my mouth or get disrespectful but I just couldn't bite my tongue on this one. I told him he was full of **** and he either is a liar or doesn't know how to use his radar gun. He said if I say one more word we can go... I said go where? He got quiet like he realized he shouldn't have said that and I told him to shut up and go write me a ticket. I was surprised but he didn't say a word, just turned around and wrote the ticket and gave it to me. I would have loved to get out of the car and beat the brakes off that punk a$$ pig.
Why not ask to see the video? Or the radar display? Even the OLDEST radars had a lock feature and every partrol car in the metro area (and outside it, too) has had video recording equipment in it since the 90's.
Our officers down here in Spalding county won't do traffic stops without video backup anymore! (Not that they WON'T, they are not ALLOWED to - the video protects the officer and department as much as it protects YOU. Without that recording, there is no proof of what was said by the officer OR you. You DO know that everything you do and say is recorded by the carmera and his body mic, right?)
